Claudio Maldonado (b. 1980 Argentina) Composer, classical guitarist , arranger, software developer, conductor, researcher, author and cultural maker.

An avid supporter and performer of popular to contemporary music. He won the prize Young creators ( Argentina National Cultural Department), Prácticas de Vuelo (CMMAS, México), Fondo Nacional de las Artes (como grupo) among others which remark his work as composer and performer. Has made research and composing residencies at L.I.P.M. (), C.M.M.A.S. () and I.I.eS.Mu.M.D. (). In 2008 was selected by Trasatlantic Arts Consortium to create with another top ten worldwide young composers a multidimensional opera called “Ah” to be premiered at Red Cat, Walt Dysney Concert Hall in LA California on September 2009.
On April 2009 he also premiered his Suite Patagonica for String quintet and guitar with Fundacion Cultural Patagonia String Quartet.

With a rich experience on chamber music and perfoming solo concerts in Argentina and Latinoamerica, he and his music was performed at international venues and festivals like Sonoimágenes 2007, Festival Arte Electrónico 404 (Santa Fe), Buenache 2008 (España), Visiones Sonoras 2005 (México), Encuentro Nacional de Música Electroacústica de la Federación Argentina de Música Electroacústica Nº 19 (Córdoba)and Nº 23 (Rosario), Manzana de las luces (Bs. As.), Camping Musical Bariloche and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba among others.
His music is reflected on instrumental approaches using real time processing technologies . He has also developed real time processing software like ICara (http://icara.wordpress.com/ ), instrumental mixed works and cultural projects (see Biennial of Electroacustic music and Sonic Art ).
